The satellite maps that we have uploaded here are all from Google Earth. MSN also have maps of the area but they are not quite so clear. The maps show all the major sites and the major thoroughfares.

Unfortunately, the maps are somewhat out of date as there have been huge renovation projects in Luxor which have seen the demolition of some entire streets. The effect of this has been superb into bringing Luxor into the 21st Century while not only retaining its antiquities but making them more accessible and attractive. It has been a great achievement. However it might be a while before the maps catch up with the rate of change.

The area at the side of Luxor Temple is now a large open space piazza as is the previously cluttered area in front of Karnak Temple. The temple now has its former glory of having a clear view of the River Nile.
