There are literally thousands of tombs on the west bank and many of them are the finely decorated tombs of Noblemen.

EL-ASSASIF

Slightly north of El-Khokha is EL-ASSASIF.  Here there are some 42 tombs, mostly from the New Kingdom (18th Dynasty) and later. A list of the tombs is given below but few are open to the public.
