There are literally thousands of tombs on the west bank and many of them are the finely decorated tombs of Noblemen. |
DRA ABU EL-NAGA
North-east of El-Assasif is an area called DRA ABU EL-NAGA. This hillside is dotted with about 84 numbered tombs mostly belonging to officials and priests from about the 17th Dynasty to the 20th Dynasty. Also amongst them are the tombs of some 17th Dynasty Rulers. |
